If you experience frequent buffering (spinning circle) behavior with the player when trying to access live video broadcasts, mouse over the player window, and manually adjust the bitrate setting to be lower.
For live broadcasts, the bitrate button will have numbers displayed: 1,300k, 700k, or 300k. The lower the numbers, the lower the bandwidth required for playback. This will also affect the stream's quality. Unfortunately, if you're using iOS (iPhone or iPad), the native player doesn't allow for manually selecting the bitrate.
If you've selected the lowest possible bitrate, and still experience frequent buffering behavior, return to the stream selection page and try the "Audio Only" stream.
For Video on Demand, we do not have a setting to lower the bitrate, at this time.
Make sure that your internet connection is being used for nothing else besides streaming our video, and check to make sure any uploads, like online backups, are disabled. It is necessary to have a good internet connection to access our broadcasts, but much less bandwidth is required for the "Audio Only" stream.
It's best to use an ethernet cable to connect your computer to your router or modem. If you can only use WiFi, move the computer as close to the wireless access point as possible.
